Science Bulletin Week Beginning
30th March
Laptops
The next few weeks before and after Easter is a crucial time for getting the year 11 applied science coursework to be finished. During this time the applied classes will have to have priority with the laptops.
But if you do desperately need then they could be split 3 ways but each class will then only have 7/6
The ICT rooms are less busy on Tue, Wed and Thu or if you have small groups see if the library can be booked
Do we know how may computers actually work in Rm 48?
Yr 9 Past Papers
There are class sets of these to be ordered from the technicians. Please do not allow students to write on these
Department Meetings
28th April all meet together for notices and then will be working on updating KS3 SoW
5th May Grade Ladders and Display
19th May ESL 2 hours INSET after school
State of Labs
Please there has been little improvement since last time this request went out
Can all teachers check for graffiti on benches and litter on the floor before they dismiss their class and make the students clear it up.
Litter should not be placed in glass bins, staff are doing this as well as students
ISA marks
To NW/EJF by Wed 1/4/09. This is April fools day but it is not a joke.

Easter School
Letters will be being sent home to all Yr 11 students invited to Easter school. There will be a core/additional and applied day. These will involve mainly ISA or coursework catch up.
ISA marks
To NW/EJF by Wed 1/4/09. This is April fools day but it is not a joke.
Year 11 Groups doing core
The results for their modules come in 20/4/09. Their marks are going to be scrutinised to identify those students who could get a C.
Any thoughts on how we should target these individuals? E.g. Possible regrouping of the core groups so that the C students are all together? Comments thoughts on this please

This includes wiping the board, putting paper in the bin and books back in boxes.
This does not include dumping piles of paper on the sides never to be looked at again
Room 48 - do not allow students to mess with mice etc if not in use - MJO concerned about breakages
Removal of Students
If a student is sent out of your lesson and this should be not until they have reached a C3 or are causing very serious disruption. Then this must be recorded in your bromcom.
They also need to be sent with a slip and work to the appropriate room.
